It’s the same story, told over and over, each artist interpreting those 12 notes to tell their version of the story.
• WHO QUALIFIES? Lee County School Music students can qualify for this scholarship. The student must be planning on atending a local university, either FGCU or FSW and the Major would be Music, either Performance or Teaching.
• THE PERFORMANCE. Each student will perform in front of a panel of judges and a live audience. They will be judged on not only the complexity of the music, but stage presence as well.
• THE ESSAY. Each student will write a 750 word essay on ‘why’ they deserve the scholarship and whether they are a Music Performance Major or Music Teaching Major. They should go into some detail about their talents, dreams and goals.
